A green oasis with plenty of space to relax

Our hotel is situated in a well-established local area where Sri Lankan life is palpable. This includes the occasional sounds of typical Sri Lankan daily life – such as trains from the nearby station or the sounds of neighborhood activities. This may be unusual for some guests. However, many of our guests find this authenticity and connection to the local culture enriching. Therefore, the Amandro Resort is not a luxury Ayurvedic beach hotel, nor is it located in complete isolation.

Our concept is intentionally designed for people who understand that true peace doesn't come from the surroundings, but from within.

Part of the garden is delimited for meditation and silence. Here is a special tree called "Bodhi tree" "Ficus religiosa". For Buddhists this is a sacred tree. 2,600 years ago, Siddharta Gautema was enlightened under a Bodhi tree. After that he was the "Buddha".

Maybe here in this place, under this tree, you can feel the energy and clarity too, that you can get there. In any case, here you can let go of all worries and problems and use the tree for meditation or rituals. More about this under Spiritual.

Freshly prepared dishes are always served in the restaurant, which is located in the adjacent kitchen.
Next to the restaurant is a lounge with billiards, a library, games, and free Wi-Fi.
Above the restaurant is the spa and wellness area, offering massages, steam and herbal baths, and Ayurvedic treatments. The relaxation hall features loungers and a tea bar.
Medical consultations take place in a private, air-conditioned treatment room. Discussions, consultations, examinations, and pulse, weight, and blood pressure checks are conducted there.
A pavilion and a covered lounge in the garden invite you to read or relax in the shade.
A large room/hall is available for yoga, meditation, or mantra chanting.
For special occasions, we can organize a barbecue. We have a dedicated garden area with a fire pit for this purpose.
